Empowering Young People To Higher Levels In Christ

Scripture Reference: (1 Timothy 4:11-15)

11Continue to command these things and to teach them.

12Let no one despise or think less of you because of your youth, but be an example (pattern) for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity.

13Till I come devote yourself to [public and private] reading, to exhortation (preaching and personal appeals), and to teaching and instilling doctrine.

14Do not neglect the gift, which is in you, [that special inward endowment] which was directly imparted to you [by the Holy Spirit] by prophetic utterance when the elders laid their hands upon you [at your ordination].

15Practice and cultivate and meditate upon these duties; throw yourself wholly into them [as your ministry], so that your progress may be evident to everybody

There are children all over the world that struggle with self-esteem and insecurities about themselves that is caused by the environment in which they live or by what is going on inside their homes, people are always saying that this generation of youth is not good that we are worst it seems but God has other thoughts about that he has other plans I believe in Jesus Name, I believe that Gods wants to move through his people, through youth in ministry to reach other youth, and change the world. In 1 Timothy 4:12 it says “let no one despise you because of your youth” young people can change the world “ God uses young men and women as he uses older ones. Young people should never looked down on themselves just because they are young God wants to use people both young and old to reach our world for Jesus Christ and a young person’s enthusiasm and energy is a valuable gift. God has given young people power to change the world, so they should let their imaginations soar, step out in faith, and let God do great things through them.” (1 Timothy 4:12-18)

God desires to do so much through us if only we would seek him, hear from him, and step out in Faith (Mathew 7:7), God says in Psalms 115: 9-18 that he is our help and our shield, he will bless us (empower us) more and more, he has been mindful of us.

I believe that it is important for the Youth to know and understand that we all can do all things through Christ who strengthens us (Philippians 4:13), and that all things are possible to him that believes. (Mathew 16:26)

In Empowering Young People to Higher Levels in Christ Its important that leaders are always informing the youth that they do matter, that they are significant in the body of Christ, God wants to use them just as he uses older adults. That it is important that they understand that God has empowered and chosen to be a light to the nations “I am the LORD; I have called you in righteousness; I will take you by the hand and keep you; I will give you as a covenant for the people, a light for the nations. (Isaiah 42:6) That God has empowered to do the things, which he has called them to do.

That it is important that just as Paul told Timothy to not let anyone put him down, he told timothy to be an example in basically all things, just as Paul told Timothy, God is calling the youth to do the same thing, staying in constant communication with the Father just as Jesus did, to walk in excellence, walk in love no matter the situation or circumstance, walk in faith, operate in faith, let your words be season with grace, allow your mind to be transformed (Romans 12:1-2), setting ourselves apart being consecrated, fleeing our youthful lust that we may be prepared for everyone good work that God has destined for us to do.

Romans 12:1-2 And so, dear brothers and sisters,[a] I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him.[b] 2 Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, who is good and pleasing and perfect.

2 Timothy 2:22 “Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the lord out of a pure heart.

Youthful Lusts Anything enticing to the flesh, worldly music, sexual immorality, parties, drugs, drunkenness, films.
